Cambodian National Assembly Welcomes Indian Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives

PHNOM PENH: The National Assembly of Cambodia welcomed the Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives of the Republic of India, Om Birla, on Friday morning (22 April) at the National Assembly.

Following the welcome ceremony, the President of the National Assembly, Heng Samrin, received a hearing and bilateral discussion with Speaker Om Birla, who arrived in Cambodia on Thursday night (21 April) for a four-day official visit to the Kingdom, from 21-24 April.

Please be informed that after the conclusion of the hearing and bilateral meeting between National Assembly President Heng Samrin and Speaker Om Birla, the Speaker, along with his attending delegation, will pay a courtesy visit to the President of the Senate, Say Chhum. Additionally, this afternoon, Speaker Om Birla will lead his delegation of the Lower House of the Republic of India to pay respects to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace.
